Since Terrell has a dearth of BBQ restaurants, it is lucky for us that Stiky Ribz BBQ is just right down the street. On this day, I took my mom and we headed over to Helms Rd off IH-20 to see what the buzz was all about. And we were not disappointed. We found a great facility with ample outdoor seating under the trees, an outdoor stage - just a great all around set up. The turf outdoors is genius, as it may get wet - but it won't be messy. Inside, they also had lots of seating and a pleasant and patient waitstaff. We ordered at the cash register and then were delighted with both the que and the sides. I also liked that they had BBQ sauce for BOTH the beef as well as for the pulled pork. Stop in and check 'em out!
Great BBQ place with great vibes. Music all day Saturday and make sure you get there early because they will sell out before dinner time! First responders and military get 50% off in uniform.
This was the first BBQ place my family took me to after we arrived in TX, mainly because it was right down the street. How convenient and this is a cute place with inside and outside seating. You can see the large BBQ's and meat cooking. The ribs and brisket were delicious and we tried some of the jalapeño poppers which were very yummy and the filling was different than I expected and I liked them.
Such a great spot: good music, lovely environment and great food. Really enjoyed the brisket, potato salad, Mac n cheese, nachos and cheese but my favorite was the Texas Twinkie. The ribs were great too. So good , such a great place to bring kids- they enjoyed the yard so much. The musician kept it fun and even bought banana pudding for all the kiddos, so sweet! we had stopped here for lunch after visiting the gentle zoo, which I would also recommend if you are in the area, especially if you are trying to find stuff for you and kids.
We are only in Texas from time to time to visit our kids and grandchildren. But this is our second trip to this restaurant, and it's still probably the best BBQ I've ever had. The order taker was super friendly, as was the person who brought us our meal, but most importantly both the ribs and the brisket were spectacular. Just wish we lived closer. And just so you know we travel quite a lot, so it's not because we don't have access to good BBQ, this is just the best!
